Awards
Language
The primary aim of ELECT is to create a focal point for multilingual and multicultural digital content development and publishing. The localisation awards aim to enhance the visibility and recognition of eContent internationalisation and localisation within the European Community, especially amongst researchers, educators, developers, publishers and service providers.
These awards are administered by the Localisation Research Centre and currently award companies and individuals in the following categories:

LRC Best Thesis Award
This is an annual, industry sponsored award to the best research publication in an area relevant to eContent internationalisation and localisation.

LRC Best Scholar Award
The LRC Best Localisation Scholar Award is an annual, industry sponsored award open to postgraduate students entering into their first year of research on a localisation related topic in a European third-level institution.

LRC Best Global Website Award
This is an annual, industry sponsored award for Europe's most innovative website in relation to multilingual and multicultural issues. It will serve to highlight the capabilities of a truly globalised website and show the increased effectiveness and profitability of this style of website over other non-globalised ones.
